Aunjanue Ellis

Aunjanue A. Ellis Taylor, American producer and actress. She graduated with a BA at Brown University in African-American Studies. In the Tisch School of the Arts, New York University she obtained an MFA. Aunjanue l. Ellis, an American producer and actress who has performed in theatre and television as and is active across both sides of the screen. Aunjanue L. Ellis started her acting career in the theater. Then, she appeared in television programs as well as independent and mainstream films. Her most well-known roles were as Miranda Shaw (ABC's Quantico) and on BET's epic The Book of Negroes. Both series received major critical acclaim, but she also took home a variety of accolades. She started her career as an actor in the year 1995 when she played Ariel as Ariel in The Tempest. On Broadway she's appeared in Come and Gone A Winter's Tale Seeking the Genesis and Joe Turner's Come and Gone. In her film career, she is best known for her roles in films like Men of Honor The Caveman's Valentine The Express and The Help. In the world of television, her character on ABC's drama about police High Incident is well known.
