COLUMBIA, S.C. Columbia Police Department officers were constantly searching for Sims who had gone missing since the week of Christmas and were able to arrest Taylor Wardlaw in connection with the death of his friend. Eddie Brown, 30, is charged with being an accomplice in the killing by the Columbia Police Department, officials say. Sims was a man of 26 who was last seen in a residence at Ervin Street in Columbia Dec. 20. Police say that Sims his girlfriend Wardlaw reported him missing December. 22. A body was discovered in the creek on Monticello Road Wednesday, and the Richland County Coroner, Naida Rutherford confirmed the body was the property of Sims. Skip Holbrook from Columbia Police reports that Wardlaw was charged for the killing of Sims, as well as possession of a weapon during a violent offence. Police say Sims was killed multiple times.
